Another day at Eadonstone. This time I had the pleasure of meeting the talented guys working in the stone workshop facility.
My background is in engineering, so I found this shoot fascinating.
There were several lighting challenges too, highly refective materials, water spraying everywhere and tight spaces to set up lighting. I used a mixture Elinchrom Quadras, Godox Speedlights, Rotalux softboxes and Magmod grids. The grids were invaluable allowing me complete control of the light and putting it exactly where I wanted it. See an example at the bottom of the post for a behind the scenes setup.
Behind the Scenes
As priomised, here is a shot of how we lit the stone granite on the tilt bed cutter. Key light was Rotalux 150×50 stripbox with grid. The fill was a Rotalux 100 Octa.
